Death and Its Many Faces
Let me be blunt about this. The Club is dying, if it is not already dead...
It needs CPR, now.
I heard some highschool students talking about their regret in joining one club in the school. He said that while teh rest of the students are actually enjoying their vacant periods, he had top consider his duties with the club.
That made me think of our club and our stand.
Debaters, do you still love your job with the club? Or has our club gone stale, boring and dead?
Just like everyhting else.

The PNHS Debate Society: Renamed and Renewed…
However, the members of the club are eager to prove themselves to everybody. We believe that money has its place in this world, but determination and dedication is the true determinant of success in every venture.
Anyway, in the first Council Meeting of the Club held last July 1, 2009, the Council Members have unanimously agreed to re-christen the club.
From the PNHS Debating Club, the members have come up with the new label, The PNHS Debate Society.
The July 6, 2009 meeting with all the debaters proved to be a very enthusiastic discussion of the plans for this month and the remaining months of the school year. The Acquaintance Party was tackled, the training sessions and the team practices were announced, the teams were also organized and set.
The members have agreed to raise fund from printing and delivering love notes and hate mails, downloading songs, printing out lyrics and picking up trash to be sold to junk shops. They have also come up with the idea of organizing a mobile rent-a-book system with all the members opening up their collection and hoards of books just to fund the club.
If you have suggestions on other fund raising activities, feel free to contact us.
P.S.: To our Alumni Debaters, you are considered as Associate Members of the club according to the Constitution and By-Laws of our club. Do not feel as if we are ignoring you. Please feel free to contact us anytime. You will always be a part of the club. The Club will always be your haven here at PNHS.

Congratulations
Anyway, Ma'am FLo and I are very happy with our new sets of members for this year. In fact, we both feel excited and hopeful that the club would at last, successfully pull off its plan for the new school year.
I just hope that Ma'am FLo would understahnd my absent-mindedness and would continue to be patient in dealing with my really scatterbrained approach at everything.
And pipz, please keep reminding me so that I will stay grounded on thsi earth.
As always, Ma'am Heaven; her stuffiness
